Questions

Where does my password go?

For the free sign and the template pack: nowhere. The sign is built in your browser, so the network name and password never reach our servers. You can check this in your browser's network tab.

Will every phone connect?

Recent iPhones and Android phones read Wi-Fi QR codes with the regular camera app. Some older phones and smart TVs can't, which is why the sign also prints the network name and password as text.

My password has a semicolon or a colon in it. Will that work?

Yes. Those characters are escaped in the QR code the way phones expect.

What do I get for free?

One design (minimal white) in letter and 4 × 6 inch sizes, with a small line at the bottom saying where it was made.

What size should I print?

Letter works on a wall or in a frame. 4 × 6 and 5 × 7 fit table tents and photo frames. The QR code stays at least 2 inches wide (1.2 on the small card) so phones read it easily.
